Etihad looking to partner an Indian Airline Company - What If Analysis

A lot of news going around that Etihad is looking at partnering an Indian airline company.

News/Rumors that Etihad might be taking a stake in either Jet Airways or Kingfisher Airlines.

However, here is another view or should I say... a What If Analysis

http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/transportation/airlines-/-aviation/g-r-gopinath-set-to-float-new-airline-next-year/articleshow/17658417.cms

As per the news in the economic times (hyperlink enclosed), Capt. Gopinath's Non Compete Agreement with Vijay Mallya/KFA ends on 28th January 2013.

Would it make financial sense for Etihad, or any other foreign airline looking to come into India, to partner with Capt. Gopinath given is proven track record with Air Deccan???

Food for thought, don't you think????

Again, these are my views alone and not to be taken as a buy or sell recommendion on either Jet or KFA. This is for your information only. Please consult your financial advisor before investing/trading.
